Ultimate Medical Academy

Overview

Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) prepares students for careers in health care. Programs are available for students online and on campus, and some programs are only seven weeks long. The Ultimate Medical Academy offers hands-on training in two locations: Tampa and Clearwater, Florida. Students of UMA can take advantage of externships at local facilities, financial aid programs, job placement assistance, modern facilities, day classes, and evening classes.

Programs

Programs are available for a variety of positions in medical billing, dental assisting, clinical lab assisting, X-Ray technology, and phlebotomy. Medical billing students develop the skills necessary to complete and process health insurance claims. Dental assistant students complete a 720-hour program to understand the basics of dental radiology and daily operations. The clinical lab program helps students understand basic laboratory procedures for EKGs, blood collection, and specimen samples. The basic X-Ray technician program provides radiology support to doctors, clinics, and chiropractic centers. You will learn the basics of anatomy and medical ethics. In the nursing assistant program, you will learn how to provide routine and emergency care.

Accreditations and Financial Aid

Several associations provide accreditations for the Ultimate Medical Academy. Financial aid options are available for students who qualify.
